Overview

  • Support a dynamic legal team as a Real Estate Paralegal, specializing in residential real estate transactions and title-related matters.
  • Draft and prepare deeds, transfer documents, and affidavits for property transactions with precision and compliance.
  • Coordinate execution, recording, and filing of real estate documents to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Maintain transaction files, ensuring deadlines and legal requirements are met effectively.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to support transactions from contract through closing stages.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and draft deeds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Review title reports, identifying and resolving issues effectively.
  • Coordinate execution, recording, and filing of deeds and other real estate documents.
  • Prepare transfer documents and supporting affidavits for property transactions.
  • Maintain transaction files, ensuring compliance with deadlines and legal requirements.
  • Assist attorneys with transactions, providing support from contract through closing stages.
  • Ensure familiarity with county recording requirements and transfer tax filings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and Paralegal Certificate required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a residential real estate paralegal; 3 years preferred.
  • Proven experience drafting and recording deeds and understanding title matters.
  • Strong knowledge of residential real estate transactions and county recording requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple transaction files effectively and meet deadlines.
