Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide direct nursing care and perform physical examinations upon program entry and quarterly thereafter.
- Coordinate acute and ongoing healthcare services tailored to individual needs and regulatory standards.
- Monitor patient health statuses, lab results, and treatment efficacy, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Train staff on health and hygiene practices, communicable disease control, and client-specific medical protocols.
- Supervise LPNs and direct support professionals, conducting performance evaluations and maintaining readiness.
- Participate in hiring and scheduling of nursing staff to ensure optimal team functionality.
- Provide on-call support to ensure continuity of care and emergency preparedness.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards in nursing practices and documentation.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degree required, with relevant nursing certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, ideally with developmental disabilities populations.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and care coordination tools.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance standards in healthcare settings.
- Ability to train and supervise staff in nursing protocols and health measures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
