Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the financial accounting and reporting for fixed assets and leasing arrangements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and support strategic decision-making through accurate financial data analysis.
  • Develop scalable processes and automated solutions to accommodate organizational growth while maintaining data integrity and strong controls.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement in fixed asset accounting.
  • Serve as a liaison with external auditors for infrastructure costs and related capital assets, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, supporting schedules, and presentations related to infrastructure investments.
  • Drive improvements in data quality by addressing challenges with big data and complex cost allocation methodologies.
  • Partner with procurement and infrastructure teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into financial implications.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee global financial accounting and reporting for fixed asset costs, ensuring accurate capitalization and classification.
  • Manage depreciation schedules, impairment assessments, and asset lifecycle tracking under ASC 360 standards.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Policy team to assess expenditures for proper classification under ASC 842.
  • Develop financial models to inform decisions on capacity planning, efficiency initiatives, and cost optimization.
  • Assist in creating scalable operational processes for complex accounting classifications and rapid organizational growth.
  • Analyze large cost datasets to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Support external audit processes for infrastructure costs and related capital assets.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations related to infrastructure investments for management review.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
  • Extensive experience in fixed asset accounting, including depreciation methodologies and lease accounting under ASC 842.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, data visualization tools, and database querying technologies.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Experience in analyzing and solving problems with large datasets and complex cost allocation methodologies.
  • Comfortable working in complex technical environments and handling ambiguity.
