Job Description

Overview

  • Lead supply chain quality strategy implementation and ensure compliance with global and local standards.
  • Manage supplier qualification, evaluation, and manufacturing product approval processes.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for supplier and production quality metrics improvement.
  • Oversee alignment of quality processes and tools at local and global levels.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Supplier and Production Quality Engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including GMP, FDA, OSHA, and NIOSH.
  • Collaborate with R&D, operations, and other departments for supplier and contractor qualification.
  • Manage department resources, budget planning, and financial performance.
  • Drive strategic supplier and production quality initiatives to support uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Implement corporate quality assurance agreements and ensure supplied and manufactured materials meet standards.
  • Develop and oversee supplier quality strategic orientation for material groups.
  • Monitor and ensure purchasing and supplier quality functions comply with policies and regulations.
  • Integrate supplier quality processes with R&D and operations for effective contractor selection.
  • Manage team performance, set objectives, and provide training and development plans.
  • Develop KPIs to enhance supplier and production quality performance.
  • Ensure staff training on commercial and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee function budget and financial planning to meet goals and maximize returns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, including 3 years in medical device supplier quality leadership.
  • Strong goal-setting, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance standards such as GMP, FDA, OSHA, and NIOSH.
  • Experience in KPI development and performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage budgets and conduct long-term financial planning.
  • Expertise in supplier and production quality assurance processes.
  • Capability to integrate quality processes across departments effectively.
  • Leadership skills for team development, coaching, and mentoring.
