Job Description

Overview

  • Provide essential medical support as a Medical Assistant in a dynamic healthcare setting.
  • Perform vital signs checks, blood draws, and cognitive assessments with precision and care.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • Work in a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Engage in a supportive environment with opportunities for skill enhancement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct vital sign measurements and record results in patient files.
  • Perform blood draws and ensure proper handling and labeling of samples.
  • Administer cognitive assessments and report findings to supervising staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records systems.
  • Adhere to healthcare regulations and protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Assist in patient preparation and support during medical procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the improvement of care processes.

Job Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant with a valid MA Certificate.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical assistant role; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong skills in patient care, including vital signs measurement and blood draws.
  • Ability to work on-site during specified hours without weekend shifts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a healthcare team.
