Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Warmly greet patients and guests, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, and other patient care functions as directed.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments with specialists and external providers.
- Support campaigns and initiatives to close gaps in patient care.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ensure proper labeling and preparation of specimens for laboratory collection.
- Document patient care information accurately in electronic medical records.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Program or eligibility for certification exam required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in an ambulatory care setting required; 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in navigating electronic medical records systems required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform patient care functions and administrative tasks.
- Strong communication skills and customer service excellence.
- Flexibility to work between 8 AM and 6 PM daily.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare policies.
