Overview
- Serve as a Communications Specialist supporting HR-related initiatives within a mission-driven organization.
- Collaborate with HR business units, Total Rewards, and Internal Communications teams to develop effective communication strategies.
- Create structured communication plans, calendars, and templates for recurring initiatives and organizational priorities.
- Develop audience-specific messaging for employees, managers, and stakeholders to enhance engagement and clarity.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication efforts to ensure alignment and consistency across channels.
- Support change communications for HR programs, compliance activities, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Advise stakeholders on communication best practices and audience-centered delivery methods.
- Utilize tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft Copilot to enhance communication effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Partner with HR units to understand goals, initiatives, and communication priorities.
- Develop and execute communication strategies and plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Draft, edit, and review internal communications, including emails, toolkits, and presentation materials.
- Ensure alignment of messaging with organizational priorities and standards.
- Coordinate input, reviews, approvals, and delivery of communication materials.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR communications, internal communications, or related areas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms.
- Strong writing, editing, and message development skills with attention to detail and tone.
- Experience with SharePoint, Teams, and intranet platforms for internal communication.
- Ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into clear and consistent messaging.
- Knowledge of HR concepts and benefits administration to anticipate employee questions.
