Job Description

Overview

  • Support legal transactions by drafting and managing commercial real estate closing documents for acquisitions, leasing, and financings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure compliance and accuracy in legal documentation and processes.
  • Maintain and organize digital databases for legal files, ensuring timely updates and accessibility.
  • Coordinate procurement of lien releases and manage documentation related to mortgage debt releases.
  • Prepare corporate documents, including formation documents and operating agreements, with precision.
  • Assist in drafting asset management documents such as default notices and landlord consents.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including document redlining, PDF conversions, and invoice reconciliations.
  • Contribute to the team's success by ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of legal documentation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft and distribute legal documents for commercial real estate transactions across multiple regions.
  • Prepare and manage transaction checklists, monitoring the status of deliverables effectively.
  • Coordinate delivery of signature page packets and assemble final executed documents.
  • Maintain digital databases, ensuring proper filing and tracking of legal documents.
  • Procure lien releases and manage associated documentation following mortgage debt releases.
  • Draft asset management documents, including landlord and lender consents, with attention to detail.
  • Provide administrative support, including mailing, invoice reconciliation, and document formatting.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance and accuracy in legal documentation processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required, preferably in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting commercial real estate closing documents.
  • Proficiency in preparing corporate documents, including operating agreements and written consents.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Notary public certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Demonstrated integrity and problem-solving abilities in a professional setting.
  • Experience with document redlining, PDF conversions, and administrative support tasks.
