Job Description

Overview

  • Provide bilingual support for outreach and administrative tasks in a flexible, remote part-time contract role.
  • Perform customer service outreach and data entry tasks, ensuring accurate records and effective communication.
  • Engage with community members to support registration and engagement initiatives in the TimeBank database.
  • Flexible work hours, including weekends, with outreach calls during daytime hours preferred.
  • Occasionally cover community events within the Greater New York Metro area, with travel reimbursement provided.
  • Collaborate with team members to schedule recurrent classes and follow up on referrals.
  • Opportunity to utilize bilingual skills in Spanish and Mandarin for written translations and communication.
  • Work remotely with provided equipment and phone, ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct outreach to applicants and members in the TimeBank database to encourage engagement.
  • Record applications, event hours, and other data accurately in the system.
  • Translate written materials occasionally to support bilingual communication needs.
  • Attend and assist at community events, ensuring effective representation and support.
  • Follow up on referrals and inquiries to ensure timely responses and resolutions.
  • Schedule recurrent classes and events in the platform, maintaining organized records.
  • Provide excellent customer service and adapt communication styles to diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve outreach and administrative goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (required) and Mandarin (preferred) for effective communication.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or administrative roles; 2 years preferred.
  • Basic data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to travel within the Greater New York Metro area for occasional community events.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to communicate effectively with diverse age groups.
  • Comfortable working remotely with provided equipment and maintaining productivity.
