Overview
- Lead the strategic design and management of US employee benefits programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and employee needs.
- Develop and implement innovative benefits strategies, including health, wellness, and retirement plans, tailored to a diverse workforce.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to evaluate emerging benefits trends and recommend enhancements to existing offerings.
- Oversee vendor relationships, including brokers and benefits administration platforms, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA requirements.
- Manage the annual benefits open enrollment process, including planning, communication, and execution.
- Drive employee engagement through effective communication strategies and wellness initiatives.
- Support HR policies related to leave, time off, and benefits, ensuring competitiveness and clarity.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and recommend health plan structures, balancing cost, richness, and employee experience.
- Evaluate and implement new benefits programs, considering utilization data, cost modeling, and employee demand.
- Manage vendor relationships, including brokers and benefits administration platforms, ensuring service quality and compliance.
- Develop and oversee benefits communication strategies, ensuring clarity and accessibility for employees.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, maintaining accurate documentation and filings.
- Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment, including planning, execution, and analysis.
- Collaborate with HRBPs to address complex employee benefits issues and provide guidance.
- Monitor benefits data integrity and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing employee benefits programs, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
- Proven experience in vendor management and benefits administration platform oversight.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and employees.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement innovative benefits strategies and wellness programs.
- Experience with open enrollment planning and execution, including employee communication strategies.
