Job Description

Overview

  • Analyze and recommend investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds to outperform market benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to develop and refine investment strategies.
  • Conduct detailed financial modeling and credit analysis for corporate bond evaluation.
  • Prepare comprehensive earnings reports with financial projections and credit valuations.
  • Engage with industry sources to identify and capture new investment opportunities.
  • Provide timely and thorough research to global teams, fostering international collaboration.
  • Adapt to hybrid work schedules and business needs as required.
  • Support the Head of Fixed Income in achieving departmental goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct fundamental credit analysis with emphasis on financial modeling for corporate bond selection.
  • Create detailed earnings reports including financial projections and investment recommendations.
  • Present persuasive company reports to portfolio managers and consult on investment strategies.
  • Engage with industry sources to gather and interpret market information for investment ideas.
  • Collaborate with global teams to develop comprehensive investment perspectives.
  • Utilize Bloomberg and advanced Excel tools for research and analysis.
  • Adapt to changing work schedules and business needs to ensure departmental success.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned to support the Fixed Income department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent concentration; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, fixed income, and fund investing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel, Bloomberg, and automated research tools.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills for presenting investment ideas.
  • Experience in both buy-side and sell-side corporations is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to excel in a collaborative global team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and work schedules.
  • Candidates may be considered for Vice President level based on qualifications.
