Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer trusts and estates, including probate processes and filings.
- Prepare and file legal documents with State, Federal, and Surrogate’s Courts.
- Communicate with trustees, beneficiaries, and family members effectively.
- Research and retrieve estate files from various courts and third-party vendors.
- Prepare petitions, tax returns, and other legal documentation accurately.
- Respond to court requests and manage supplemental document submissions.
- Maintain meticulous records of communications and billable time.
- Assist in estate distributions and accounting processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required.
- Four to six years of experience in Trusts & Estates, including probate practice.
- Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain it promptly.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Reader.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable in a fast-paced environment.
