Overview
- Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide risk management strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust frameworks for risk event identification, analysis, and resolution.
- Drive organizational change initiatives to embed risk management practices into daily operations and decision-making processes.
- Develop executive-level presentations, roadmaps, and business cases to support risk management initiatives.
- Implement and optimize risk management tools, including ServiceNow, to enhance operational efficiency and reporting capabilities.
- Provide leadership in creating audit-ready documentation that meets regulatory and compliance standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the risk management function.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and implement a comprehensive enterprise risk event management framework, ensuring consistency and scalability across the organization.
- Define and communicate roles, responsibilities, and ownership for all stages of the risk event lifecycle.
- Establish governance structures, including steering committees and decision-making protocols, to oversee risk management activities.
- Conduct structured root cause analyses to identify underlying drivers of risk events and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to harmonize processes and ensure seamless execution during major risk events.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to monitor risk trends and provide actionable insights.
- Create and update operational runbooks and playbooks to support readiness and response efforts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in operational or enterprise risk management, with a preference for 15 years of expertise.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise-wide risk management frameworks and operating models.
- Proficiency with ITSM, IRM/GRC platforms, particularly ServiceNow, for risk management applications.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey risk-related insights to senior leadership.
- Experience working in regulated environments, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to influence decision-making processes.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
