Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review and finalize multi-state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
- Communicate with state and federal agencies regarding client tax notifications.
- Guide tax staff on technical and software-related inquiries.
- Assist in document preparation for audits and compliance reviews.
- Research and resolve complex tax issues related to client transactions.
- Mentor team members to foster professional development and goal achievement.
- Collaborate with partners during client meetings to enhance service delivery.
- Adapt to evolving tax regulations and implement effective strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent certification required.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience leading tax professionals; 10 years preferred.
- Expertise in tax concepts for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts.
- Proficiency in CCH Axcess and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
