Job Description

Overview

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned grants and contracts portfolios, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Prepare and submit billing packages and reports to funding sources, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper allocation of revenues and expenditures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet project deadlines and support organizational goals.
  • Provide forecasts and analyses for programs, supporting financial planning and decision-making.
  • Coordinate subcontractor compliance, invoicing, payment, and reporting activities.
  • Assist with audits and year-end financial reviews, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Develop and analyze reports using advanced Excel tools, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Enter budgets into funder systems and manage financial billing activities for grants and contracts.
  • Track receivables and balances, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Perform spending checks and contract closeouts to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Organize and prepare contract vouchers and billing packages for submission to funding sources.
  • Verify reimbursements align with contract amounts and record transactions in appropriate accounts.
  • Respond to grantor requests and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to prepare budget narratives and new funding proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with grants and billing practices, escalating critical issues as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis.
  • Experience with FE or similar accounting software is preferred.
  • Understanding of grants management, billing practices, and applicable laws.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
