Overview

  • Lead and oversee oncology pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering exceptional patient care through innovative practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication management strategies and enhance overall treatment outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the oncology pharmacy department, ensuring seamless workflow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff, addressing performance and development needs effectively.
  • Coordinate procurement and inventory management of oncology medications, ensuring proper storage and availability.
  • Collaborate with healthcare departments to align pharmacy services with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Review and apply medical literature to support evidence-based practices in oncology pharmacy.
  • Prepare and present analytical reports and strategic recommendations to hospital leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with Arizona and federal pharmacy regulations, maintaining high operational standards.
  • Enhance pharmacy payment systems and methodologies to improve financial efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy, with a preference for oncology specialization and supervisory roles.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in Arizona or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • In-depth knowledge of oncology medications, protocols, and drug interactions.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
