Job Description

Overview

  • The HR Generalist will manage daily HR functions, including payroll, benefits, and compliance, ensuring smooth operations within the organization.
  • This role involves implementing HR programs such as orientation, recognition, and training, fostering a positive workplace environment.
  • Collaborate with management to address employment-related inquiries, disciplinary actions, and investigations, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, reviewing policies for adherence to regulations.
  • Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Provide support for talent management, performance evaluations, and employee engagement initiatives to drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, and training, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct background checks, employee eligibility verifications, and maintain compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs to enhance engagement and morale.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries, providing guidance and referring complex matters to appropriate personnel.
  • Attend disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, ensuring fair and constructive processes.
  • Review and update company policies to maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Monitor HRIS systems and talent management tools for efficient HR operations and reporting.
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive performance management and employee development initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of HR management experience, with 10 years preferred for senior-level expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, with knowledge of Justworks or Rippling preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage diverse HR functions effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity in sensitive situations.
  • SHRM-CP certification is a plus, demonstrating advanced HR knowledge and capabilities.
