- Contribute to firmwide financial planning and analysis activities, including variance analysis and expense segmentation.
- Assist in audit preparations, budget development, and executive-level special projects.
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in accounting workflows.
- Support technology initiatives and system upgrades impacting accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and post journal entries for general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and adherence to GAAP standards.
- Provide audit support by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Contribute to budget preparation, quarterly projections, and financial planning activities.
- Work with ERP systems like NetSuite for accurate data entry and reporting.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities in accounting workflows.
- Collaborate on technology initiatives and system upgrades impacting accounting processes.
- Support special projects and executive requests as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in general ledger or corporate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in hedge fund or private equity accounting preferred.
- Ability to identify and implement efficiency improvements in accounting workflows.
- Positive attitude and sense of ownership in work responsibilities.
