Job Description

Overview

  • Collaborate with design teams, project owners, and contractors to ensure construction aligns with design intent and project goals.
  • Manage project documentation during construction phases, including submittals, RFIs, proposal requests, and contracts.
  • Provide critical insights on diverse construction types to achieve client objectives effectively.
  • Ensure contractor adherence to construction contracts and oversee project execution quality.
  • Represent the organization professionally in interactions with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Travel to job sites within the Central Texas region and occasionally beyond to oversee projects.
  • Foster collaborative relationships within the team to achieve design excellence and community impact.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage construction documentation flow, ensuring timely handling of submittals, RFIs, and contracts.
  • Coordinate solutions with team members and consultants to address project challenges effectively.
  • Review submittals for compliance with design intent and project specifications.
  • Approve contractor pay applications based on project progress and contract terms.
  • Conduct project oversight to ensure construction aligns with contractual obligations and design goals.
  • Represent the organization in client and contractor meetings, providing professional insights and solutions.
  • Travel to job sites to monitor construction progress and address on-site challenges.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in architectural, engineering, or construction-related roles.
  • Proficiency in managing construction documentation and AIA documents.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction materials, building trades, and associated products.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of Newforma software is a plus.
