Job Description
Overview
- Collaborate with design teams, project owners, and contractors to ensure construction aligns with design intent and project goals.
- Manage project documentation during construction phases, including submittals, RFIs, proposal requests, and contracts.
- Provide critical insights on diverse construction types to achieve client objectives effectively.
- Ensure contractor adherence to construction contracts and oversee project execution quality.
- Represent the organization professionally in interactions with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Travel to job sites within the Central Texas region and occasionally beyond to oversee projects.
- Foster collaborative relationships within the team to achieve design excellence and community impact.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage construction documentation flow, ensuring timely handling of submittals, RFIs, and contracts.
- Coordinate solutions with team members and consultants to address project challenges effectively.
- Review submittals for compliance with design intent and project specifications.
- Approve contractor pay applications based on project progress and contract terms.
- Conduct project oversight to ensure construction aligns with contractual obligations and design goals.
- Represent the organization in client and contractor meetings, providing professional insights and solutions.
- Travel to job sites to monitor construction progress and address on-site challenges.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in architectural, engineering, or construction-related roles.
- Proficiency in managing construction documentation and AIA documents.
- Extensive knowledge of construction materials, building trades, and associated products.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of Newforma software is a plus.
