Job Description

Overview

  • Support the global operational risk program, focusing on identifying and managing risk events and issues.
  • Maintain and enhance the operational risk framework and governance processes across the organization.
  • Collaborate globally with business, risk, support, and control teams to strengthen the control environment.
  • Engage with fund boards, oversight committees, and senior management on operational risk matters.
  • Respond to regulatory requests and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Provide holistic risk oversight across interconnected risk disciplines within the organization.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote collaboration effectively.
  • Contribute to the operational risk and resilience frameworks in alignment with global standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage and maintain the operational risk framework, ensuring its integration across all products and strategies.
  • Investigate operational risk events, performing root cause analysis and control assessments.
  • Conduct deep-dive reviews on significant events, providing recommendations to enhance controls.
  • Track external loss events and analyze their applicability to the organization.
  • Support risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) across business units.
  • Administer operational risk tools and support system changes implementation.
  • Train employees on operational risk database usage and related processes.
  • Prepare and present operational risk reports for committees and governance forums.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, addressing errors and breaches effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum of five years in operational risk management.
  • Experience in asset management or banking industry preferred, with familiarity in global regulations.
  • Proficiency in operational risk frameworks and applications like Wolters Kluwer/OneSumX.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
  • Team player with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Knowledge of risk appetite development and alignment with industry best practices.
