Overview
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for clients in a dynamic, on-site environment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance IT support processes and client satisfaction.
- Install, migrate, and manage Windows Server environments and related technologies.
- Support a variety of IT systems, including servers, networks, and desktop configurations.
- Document resolutions to support requests and escalate issues as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide professional advice.
- Explore and learn new products and services to enhance expertise and team capabilities.
- Work in a high-pressure environment, prioritizing tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Respond promptly to customer support tickets, delivering high-quality technical assistance.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments and related systems.
- Provide on-site and remote support for desktop, network, and server issues.
- Manage router, firewall, and switch configurations, ensuring optimal performance.
- Collaborate on the development and maintenance of IT support processes.
- Identify infrastructure needs and provide feedback for system improvements.
- Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email, addressing concerns professionally.
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues, including Layer 2 & 3 configurations.
- Perform printer and scanner setup and configuration tasks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT or technology-related roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and configurations, including DNS and DHCP.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or MCP preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot Mac OS X integration into Windows networks.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance meeting state requirements.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
