Systems Engineer Overview
- The Systems Engineer will oversee Microsoft 365 administration, ensuring optimal functionality and security for the organization.
- Collaborate with a dynamic IT team to implement modern workplace technologies and AI-powered productivity solutions.
- Provide advanced desktop and user support, enhancing end-user experience and resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Play a critical role in managing Windows infrastructure and end-user technologies, ensuring seamless operations.
- Support the adoption of secure AI tools while adhering to data governance policies.
- Stay updated on emerging Microsoft 365 and AI technologies, recommending improvements to the IT environment.
- Contribute to infrastructure, virtualization, backups, and cybersecurity initiatives to bolster system reliability.
- Engage with Microsoft and third-party vendors to address technical challenges and optimize solutions.
Systems Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Manage user accounts, licensing, Conditional Access, MFA, and security policies effectively.
- Provision and maintain Windows workstations, laptops, and mobile devices for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, and applications.
- Provide Tier 2/3 end-user support, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Support Teams/Zoom conferencing and maintain related documentation.
- Assist with accounting applications such as CCH, Thomson Reuters, and QuickBooks as needed.
- Contribute to the secure adoption of AI tools, ensuring compliance with security policies.
Systems Engineer Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a related field is required.
- 5+ years of systems administration experience, with a focus on Microsoft 365 environments.
- Current Microsoft 365 certification is mandatory for this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting is preferred.
- Strong networking fundamentals and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work on-site and reside in Queens or Long Island.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their secure implementation is a plus.
