Grants Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review grant and contract intake materials for compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operational processes for grantmaking.
- Draft and review agreements in collaboration with the Legal team.
- Monitor and execute amendments and extensions for grants and contracts.
- Prepare and deliver training sessions on grants and contracts management practices.
- Develop and refine policies related to grant and contract management.
- Assist with special projects and collaborate with other operational teams as needed.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting for grants and contracts.
Grants Manager Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in grant and contract management within nonprofit or philanthropic organizations.
- Strong understanding of compliance, procurement, and IRS rules governing grantmaking.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar award management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
