Job Description

Antitrust Paralegal Overview

  • The Antitrust Paralegal will support attorneys in preparing and submitting HSR premerger antitrust filings to regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and teams to manage legal projects and ensure compliance with antitrust regulations.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining procedures for document tracking, coding, and quality control systems.
  • Provide support during court or agency hearings, including preparation and on-site assistance.
  • Draft legal documents, forms, and correspondence as required for case management.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive legal and financial information.
  • Leverage knowledge of MS Office and internal software for efficient task execution.

Antitrust Paralegal Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and submit HSR premerger antitrust filings with the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Justice.
  • Coordinate and manage ongoing legal projects, utilizing support departments and project assistants as needed.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems for legal documents and ensure quality control.
  • Assist attorneys during court or agency hearings, providing logistical and documentation support.
  • Maintain accurate calendars for cases or transactions and distribute updates to relevant parties.
  • Draft and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
  • Protect and manage confidential and privileged information in accordance with firm policies.

Antitrust Paralegal Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • Minimum of four years of related law firm experience as a paralegal.
  • At least one year of experience with HSR and antitrust filings preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively across organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of legal document management and quality control processes.
