Interior Designer Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support architects and project managers in designing and finalizing interior projects.
  • Serve as the primary technical support for interior-focused projects of varying sizes.
  • Oversee a small team of interior designers and technicians as needed.
  • Apply diverse knowledge of design methods, empathetic techniques, and industry standards.
  • Utilize software tools like REVIT, SketchUp, and Photoshop for project development.
  • Maintain project organization and communication systems to ensure efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Travel locally to construction and client sites as required, adhering to safety protocols.

Interior Designer Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design is required.
  • 5-8 years of experience in interior design, with NCIDQ designation preferred.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Photoshop, and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Ability to travel locally and work in a hybrid environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds as needed.
