Construction Project Planner Overview

  • The Construction Project Planner will oversee design-build projects within the food processing industry, ensuring efficient planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and develop comprehensive layouts.
  • Estimate project costs and prepare detailed subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Secure preliminary pricing and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Attend industry trade shows and network to enhance project opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety design standards and utility requirements.
  • Utilize tools like AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Excel for project planning.
  • Travel as required to oversee project sites and ensure successful implementation.

Construction Project Planner Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse design, food processing facilities, and general contracting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Ability to travel overnight and for multi-day trips as required.
