• Serve as a Project Manager Consultant, driving cross-functional drug discovery programs from early research through candidate nomination and IND-enabling studies.
• Collaborate across scientific disciplines to ensure alignment and timely achievement of program milestones.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks, maintaining comprehensive risk and issue logs for effective management.
• Prepare program updates and governance materials for senior leadership, ensuring clear communication of progress and challenges.
• Contribute to the refinement of project management tools and processes, fostering continuous improvement.
• Engage with internal teams and external partners to ensure program alignment and successful execution.

Project Manager Consultant Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead cross-functional project teams across biology, medicinal chemistry, DMPK, toxicology, CMC, and translational sciences.
• Develop and maintain integrated program timelines, ensuring adherence to plans and budgets.
• Define and track key milestones, including candidate nomination and IND-enabling activities.
• Facilitate effective team meetings, documenting decisions and actionable tasks clearly.
• Identify scientific and operational risks, collaborating with functional leads to devise mitigation strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive program updates and governance materials for senior leadership.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure seamless communication and coordination across all project stakeholders.

Project Manager Consultant Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 4–8 years of experience in biotech, pharma, or related industry, with a focus on project management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with a solid understanding of the drug discovery process.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and maintain integrated project timelines.
• Experience in risk identification and mitigation strategies within scientific and operational contexts.
• Proficiency in project management tools and processes, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and onsite collaboration.
