Infusion Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Administer IV infusion therapies and specialty medications safely and effectively.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after treatments.
• Initiate and maintain IV access, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide timely interventions.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to optimize patient care strategies.
• Adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols to ensure compliance.

Infusion Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; 3 years preferred.
• Proficiency in IV insertion and infusion techniques essential.
• Experience in infusion, oncology, ICU, ED, or ambulatory care highly desirable.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills required.
• Ability to work on-site with a consistent weekday schedule and occasional Saturdays.
