Infusion Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Administer IV infusion therapies and specialty medications with precision and care.
• Conduct patient assessments before, during, and after treatments to ensure optimal care.
• Initiate and maintain IV access, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide timely interventions as needed.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical teams to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards to ensure a secure treatment environment.

Infusion Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with strong IV insertion and infusion experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; 3 years preferred.
• Experience in infusion, oncology, ICU, ED, rheumatology, GI, or ambulatory care highly preferred.
• Proficient in patient assessment, communication, and care delivery.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems for accurate documentation.
• Ability to work on-site in various NYC locations with a consistent weekday schedule.
