Infusion Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer IV infusion therapies and specialty medications with precision and care.
- Conduct patient assessments before, during, and after treatments to ensure optimal care.
- Initiate and maintain IV access, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide timely interventions as needed.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical teams to coordinate patient care.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards to ensure a secure treatment environment.
Infusion Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with strong IV insertion and infusion experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; 3 years preferred.
- Experience in infusion, oncology, ICU, ED, rheumatology, GI, or ambulatory care highly preferred.
- Proficient in patient assessment, communication, and care delivery.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems for accurate documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in various NYC locations with a consistent weekday schedule.
