Medical Director Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee outpatient care for patients with HIV/AIDS, ensuring adherence to best practices and treatment protocols.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Advanced Practice Providers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Conduct clinical evaluations and manage treatment plans for up to 18 patients daily.
  • Collaborate with administrative leaders to optimize clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in shared call schedules, ensuring continuity of care and support for patients.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Contribute to community outreach initiatives focused on HIV and LGBTQ health education.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and clinical outcomes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in HIV/AIDS treatment.

Medical Director Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a valid state-specific Medical Board license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with 7 years preferred, in HIV/AIDS outpatient care.
  • Valid DEA and Furnishing licenses, along with current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Experience leading healthcare teams and managing Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Comfortable working with LGBTQ+ communities and fostering inclusive healthcare practices.
  • Ability to manage clinical and administrative responsibilities effectively.
  • Commitment to obtaining AAHIVM Certification within 18 months of hire.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to ensure patient care excellence.
  • Willingness to work on-site five days a week, with no nights or weekends.
