  • The Staff Physician role involves providing comprehensive outpatient care to patients, specializing in HIV/AIDS treatment and LGBTQ+ community health.

Staff Physician Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide outpatient care, diagnosing and treating patients with HIV/AIDS and other primary care needs.
  • Maintain a patient load of 15-18 individuals per day, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
  • Participate in shared call schedules, ensuring comprehensive patient support.
  • Adhere to organizational standards and guidelines for HIV and LGBTQ+ health research and care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, utilizing CME stipends and other resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the clinic’s mission to provide accessible and inclusive healthcare services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care strategies and initiatives.

Staff Physician Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Adult Gerontology, or Infectious Disease.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, with 5 years preferred, in outpatient care.
  • Valid DEA and Furnishing license, along with current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Experience in treating and diagnosing HIV/AIDS patients in a primary care setting.
  • Comfortable working with the LGBTQ+ community and addressing their healthcare needs.
  • Ability to obtain AAHIVM Certification within 18 months of hire.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and organizational mission.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site in a clinic setting five days a week.
