Staff Physician Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide outpatient care, diagnosing and treating patients with HIV/AIDS and other primary care needs.
- Maintain a patient load of 15-18 individuals per day, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
- Participate in shared call schedules, ensuring comprehensive patient support.
- Adhere to organizational standards and guidelines for HIV and LGBTQ+ health research and care.
- Engage in continuous professional development, utilizing CME stipends and other resources.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Support the clinic’s mission to provide accessible and inclusive healthcare services.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care strategies and initiatives.
Staff Physician Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Adult Gerontology, or Infectious Disease.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience, with 5 years preferred, in outpatient care.
- Valid DEA and Furnishing license, along with current CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience in treating and diagnosing HIV/AIDS patients in a primary care setting.
- Comfortable working with the LGBTQ+ community and addressing their healthcare needs.
- Ability to obtain AAHIVM Certification within 18 months of hire.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and organizational mission.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in a clinic setting five days a week.
