Staff Physician Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide outpatient medical care to patients, focusing on HIV/AIDS treatment and primary care services.
- Diagnose and manage patient conditions, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in shared call schedules to provide continuous patient support.
- Lead and mentor Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), fostering professional growth and teamwork.
- Engage in community health initiatives, supporting HIV and LGBTQ+ health research efforts.
- Ensure compliance with medical board licensing requirements and maintain certifications as required.
Staff Physician Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with active state-specific Medical Board license.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in outpatient primary care, preferably treating HIV/AIDS patients.
- Valid DEA and furnishing license, along with current CPR/BLS certification.
- Comfortable working with LGBTQ+ community and managing diverse patient populations.
- Ability to see 15-18 patients per day in a clinic setting.
- Commitment to obtaining AAHIVM certification within 18 months of hire.
- Experience leading healthcare teams and collaborating with multidisciplinary staff.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to balance clinical and administrative duties.
