Trading Assistant Overview

• The Trading Assistant role supports the investment team in ensuring accurate trade lifecycles across diverse asset classes.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and operations to maintain seamless trade processes.
• Engage in front-end trade capture and allocation tasks for various asset classes.
• Coordinate with treasury teams for effective cash management and financing activities.
• Participate in ad hoc projects to enhance operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.
• Leverage Bloomberg terminal and Charles River Investment Management Software (CRIMS) for trade operations.
• Contribute to the support of assets under management alongside the NYC-based portfolio management team.
• This hybrid role offers exposure to dynamic investment strategies and industry-leading tools.

Trading Assistant Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Ensure timely and accurate trade lifecycle management across multiple asset classes.
• Perform trade capture and allocation tasks using advanced investment management software.
• Collaborate with treasury teams to manage cash flow and financing requirements.
• Support portfolio managers and traders in optimizing investment strategies.
• Analyze and resolve operational issues to maintain process integrity.
• Participate in project-based initiatives to improve trading operations.
• Utilize Bloomberg terminal and CRIMS for data analysis and trade execution.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Trading Assistant Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; BA preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a trading assistant role; 2 years preferred.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg terminal and Charles River Investment Management Software (CRIMS).
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze complex datasets.
• Detail-oriented and organized with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in fixed income trading operations is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with portfolio management teams.
