Payroll Specialist Overview

  • The Payroll Specialist role involves managing end-to-end payroll processes with precision and compliance.

Payroll Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll accurately using ADP systems.
  • Maintain payroll records, employee data, and administer deductions and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies and tax-related issues.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports and support audits and reconciliation activities.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate compensation data.
  • Manage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation.

Payroll Specialist Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in multi-state environments.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
