Occupational Therapist Overview

  • The Occupational Therapist will provide exceptional home health therapy services to patients, ensuring personalized care and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with multiple home health agencies to deliver therapy services, adapting to diverse electronic medical record systems.
  • Manage a steady caseload, scheduling appointments flexibly to meet patient needs and preferences.
  • Utilize advanced EMR systems for efficient documentation and patient care coordination.
  • Provide therapy for geriatric patients, focusing on orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Participate in virtual orientation and training sessions, ensuring seamless integration into the team.
  • Contribute to a flexible work schedule, including potential Saturday visits to accommodate patient needs.
  • Work remotely while maintaining high standards of patient care and documentation accuracy.

Occupational Therapist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct clinical assessments to determine patient needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Document patient progress and therapy plans in compliance with agency and licensing standards.
  • Coordinate with schedulers to finalize daily patient schedules and appointment times.
  • Provide therapy for various conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Adapt to multiple EMR systems for accurate and efficient documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and standard precautions during patient care.
  • Supervise and collaborate with therapy assistants to optimize patient outcomes.

Occupational Therapist Job Requirements

  • Active Florida Occupational Therapist License is required for this position.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health therapy preferred.
  • Proficiency in multiple EMR systems, including Kantime, Kinnser, and Axxess.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to manage patient care effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for patient visits.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling, including potential weekend visits.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required for this role.
