Collections Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Produce A/R aging and delinquency reports using applicable systems.
- Document customer accounts with collection notes and next steps.
- Make outbound collection calls professionally while maintaining customer relations.
- Resolve client billing issues and reduce delinquency rates effectively.
- Identify and address issues causing account delinquency.
- Monitor assigned accounts and applicable collection reports regularly.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements and correspondence.
- Collaborate with management to discuss and resolve account issues.
Collections Specialist Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts degree preferred, with relevant coursework in finance or accounting.
- Minimum of three years of collections experience; four years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required.
- Experience with cloud-based software such as NetSuite, Intacct, or QuickBooks.
