Senior Accountant Overview

- Responsible for monthly general ledger close and preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide timely financial insights and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls for financial accuracy.

- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial summaries.
- Address audit requests and assist in federal, state, and local reporting requirements.

Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage month-end close processes, including payroll, accounts receivable, and accruals.
- Perform general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations with supporting documentation.
- Maintain and update balance sheet account work papers for accuracy.
- Prepare financial narratives to explain month-end findings and variances.
- Monitor internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and payroll reconciliations.
- Support audit processes by addressing requests from internal and state auditors.
Senior Accountant Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior or general ledger accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel skills, including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.
- Experience with Workday and healthcare industry background is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work onsite in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
