Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst Overview

  • The Senior Financial Analyst will oversee financial planning, reporting, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with senior management to prepare and review financial reports and budgets, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely submission of requested documentation and adherence to audit requirements.
  • Monitor and reconcile multi-currency bank accounts, optimizing interest earnings and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial models and business intelligence tools to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports, providing insights to senior management and departmental heads.
  • Support insurance renewals by providing financial data and coordinating payments for related invoices.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives as requested by senior management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Senior Financial Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform detailed financial analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Lead financial audits, acting as the primary contact for auditors and managing audit requests.
  • Prepare and review expense allocation schedules, ensuring accurate distribution of costs across departments.
  • Manage banking operations, including monitoring accounts and optimizing cash flow.
  • Collaborate with international offices to manage fund transfers and ensure operational liquidity.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reporting tools to support strategic planning.
  • Review and approve bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.

Senior Financial Analyst Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field required; advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and financial modeling techniques.
  • Experience with Elite 3E Accounting Software and SQL is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Hybrid work schedule requiring a minimum of three days per week in-person.
