Project Architect Overview

  • The Project Architect role involves leading architectural projects from conception to completion, ensuring design excellence and adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions tailored to client needs and project requirements.
  • Utilize expertise in healthcare architecture to manage complex projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Project Architect Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead all phases of architectural projects, from schematic design to construction closeout, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with design intent.
  • Conduct code reviews and collaborate with officials to secure necessary approvals for projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans to meet deadlines and profitability goals.
  • Prepare and present proposals, RFPs, and marketing materials to secure new business opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly, ensuring client satisfaction and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with interior designers and planners to integrate functional and aesthetic elements into designs.
  • Utilize advanced software for design, reporting, and resource planning to optimize project workflows.

Project Architect Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.Arch.) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare architecture; 6 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in BIM (Revit), CAD, and Microsoft Office Suite essential.
  • Architectural Registration and LEED AP certification required; PMP or PSMJ certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration.
  • Experience with resource planning tools like Unanet preferred.
  • Ability to travel as required by project needs.
