Principal Investigator Overview
- The Principal Investigator role involves overseeing clinical research activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct and supervise clinical trials focusing on neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and dementia.

- Perform study-related procedures including physical exams, informed consent, and adverse event management.
- Provide clinical support and oversight for recruitment and study visits, including after-hours coverage.

Principal Investigator Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct and supervise clinical research activities in compliance with FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Perform study-related procedures, including physical exams, informed consent, and adverse event management.
- Review and adjudicate laboratory, imaging, and biopsy findings for clinical trials.
- Oversee recruitment efforts and provide clinical support for participant screening and enrollment.
- Ensure accuracy, security, and integrity of research data and subsequent analysis.
- Collaborate with Sub-Investigators and research teams to maintain protocol adherence.
- Provide weekend and after-hours coverage as needed to facilitate study visits.
- Assist in preparing for study monitor visits and sponsor audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of study sponsor and clinical trial information.
Principal Investigator Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) with a current physician license in Texas.
- Board certification preferred; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience; prior research experience preferred.
- Expertise in neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer's and dementia.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based enterprise solutions software.
- Ability to work in clinical and laboratory environments with exposure to biological fluids.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and provide after-hours coverage.
- Commitment to participant safety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
