Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead electrical system design from concept through construction phases.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Perform load calculations, lighting design, and system layout for projects.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams for seamless integration.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction phases.
• Conduct site visits and provide construction administration support.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster professional development within the team.

Electrical Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, Pennsylvania preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design; consulting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM/ETAP design tools.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and relevant building codes.
• Experience with commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects preferred.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
