Vice President, Fund Accounting Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Maintain and control general ledgers and sub-ledgers for various funds.
• Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and partner capital statements.
• Oversee client relationships, meetings, and service plans, including annual budgets.
• Provide technical accounting expertise, particularly in the infrastructure fund space.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance.
• Review partnership agreements and implement fund structures on accounting systems.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and oversee trading and operations processes.
• Lead initiatives for business and technology reengineering in fund administration.

Vice President, Fund Accounting Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA designation preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in fund administration or accounting; 15 years preferred.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and fund accounting systems like Investran or Yardi.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with proven project management abilities.
• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in managing infrastructure funds and delivering client-focused solutions.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and reporting guidelines for alternative investments.
• Ability to negotiate, plan budgets, and analyze margins effectively.
