Angio Suite Surgery Scheduler/Medical Biller Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Schedule vascular procedures, surgeries, and follow-up appointments, ensuring efficient coordination with clinical staff.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations for medical procedures and imaging.
  • Manage the authorization process, ensuring approvals are secured before scheduled procedures.
  • Support billing workflows by ensuring accurate documentation and insurance information.
  • Coordinate scheduling between main and satellite offices for optimal patient service.
  • Maintain organized records of scheduling and authorization documentation in EMR systems.
  • Assist with front desk duties, including patient check-in and check-out, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and insurance representatives to ensure smooth operations.

Angio Suite Surgery Scheduler/Medical Biller Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical scheduling or front office operations.

  • Experience with EMR systems such as Athena or Epic is highly desirable.
