Accounts Payable Consultant Overview

  • The Accounts Payable Consultant will oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Accounts Payable Consultant Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper approvals and documentation.
  • Manage accounts payable activities across multiple legal entities and business units.
  • Maintain vendor records, resolve payment issues, and ensure timely payments.
  • Process employee expense reports and reconcile expenses with receipts and approvals.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare necessary reports.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in invoices, payments, and accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address accounts payable-related queries and issues.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting for AP-related system issues and escalate complex matters.

Accounts Payable Consultant Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Experience in multi-entity or legal entity accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies is a plus.
