Field RN Supervisor Overview

• The Field RN Supervisor role combines field nursing, clinical supervision, and on-call responsibilities within a home care environment.

Field RN Supervisor Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct scheduled nursing visits and perform patient assessments in home settings.
• Evaluate clinical needs, manage medications, and provide education to patients and caregivers.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Assess home environments for safety and recommend appropriate support measures.
• Coordinate care with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and home health aides.
• Provide clinical supervision and guidance to field staff, ensuring high standards of care.
• Monitor patient condition changes and address concerns promptly.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation within required timeframes.
• Participate in staff meetings, clinical reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

Field RN Supervisor Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; 3 years preferred.
• Experience in home care or assisted living environments strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently in a field-based role.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication management, and documentation skills.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territories to provide patient care.
