Superintendent Overview
- The Superintendent will oversee field operations for industrial and multifamily construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Collaborate with project managers, development teams, and leadership to achieve project goals and maintain alignment.
- Ensure adherence to schedules, codes, and specifications while managing subcontractors and field personnel.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all project phases.
- Review project documentation to identify and mitigate potential risks proactively.
- Participate in preconstruction planning, logistics, and constructability reviews.
- Coordinate inspections, permits, and approvals to ensure compliance and project progression.
- Represent the client professionally with stakeholders, municipalities, and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports of field activities and project status.
Superintendent Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead and manage daily field operations for large-scale construction projects.
- Establish and maintain project schedules in collaboration with leadership.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and project requirements.
- Conduct regular meetings and planning activities to maintain project alignment.
- Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance.
- Identify schedule risks and develop solutions to maintain progress.

Superintendent Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced construction certifications preferred.
- 5-10 years of commercial construction field experience, preferably with large-scale projects.
- Proven expertise in supervising industrial, warehouse, or multifamily construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and logistics.
- Proficiency in reading architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Experience with construction technology and project management software like Procore preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred; ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
