HR Coordinator – I9 Audit Overview

  • The HR Coordinator – I9 Audit will oversee a short-term compliance project focusing on I-9 form audits and updates.
  • This contract role involves auditing approximately 1,000 files to ensure compliance with organizational and legal standards.
  • Work independently in a remote or hybrid environment, utilizing your own laptop for online file management.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to retrieve, scan, and organize I-9 forms for active and terminated employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while updating tracking sheets and following detailed project instructions.
  • Leverage your expertise in HireRight and HR compliance to ensure project success within the designated timeframe.

HR Coordinator – I9 Audit Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct thorough audits of I-9 forms to ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Retrieve, scan, and file I-9 forms into digital employee records accurately and efficiently.
  • Update Excel tracking sheets with detailed information regarding each form's status and details.
  • Follow up on incomplete or missing documentation to ensure compliance requirements are met.

HR Coordinator – I9 Audit Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR compliance or similar roles.
  • Proficiency with HireRight for I-9 verification and compliance processes.
