Senior Financial Analyst Overview
- The Senior Financial Analyst will support finance, accounting, and reporting workstreams to enhance operational capabilities.
- Collaborate with finance leaders to drive high-quality analysis and improve reporting outputs.
- Leverage data and reporting tools to manage large datasets and provide actionable insights.
- Contribute to process improvements, data quality enhancement, and automation initiatives.
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
- Support quarter-end and year-end reporting cycles, including audit documentation.
- Assist in designing and maintaining reporting dashboards using SQL and BI tools.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and management insights to stakeholders.
- Participate in special projects related to finance process improvement and data governance.
Senior Financial Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and maintain internal management reporting and recurring reporting packages.
- Investigate, reconcile, and explain data discrepancies across multiple sources.
- Design and build reporting tools and dashboards using SQL, Tableau, or BI tools.
- Support external and internal reporting processes, including SEC and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with finance and technology teams to enhance reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities for workflow automation and process optimization.
- Assist with audit support and documentation requests during reporting cycles.
- Provide management insights through detailed variance analysis and data interpretation.

Senior Financial Analyst Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in audit, financial reporting, or accounting functions.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting, and reporting fundamentals.
- Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and other BI tools.
- Experience with SEC reporting and regulatory reporting preferred.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to manage deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across finance and technology teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
