Primary Care Physician Overview

  • The Primary Care Physician role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to underserved communities.
  • Provide comprehensive care, including acute and chronic illness management, with a focus on holistic health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient experiences.

Primary Care Physician Key Responsibilities & Duties

Primary Care Physician Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics required.
  • Active state medical license or eligibility to obtain one within the required timeframe.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in primary care; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and improving health outcomes.
  • Ability to travel locally for patient care and nationally for training as needed.
