• The Project Engineer role focuses on designing and implementing technical solutions for managed service partners.

• Translate business and technical requirements into practical, support-ready solutions.
• Lead project implementation from planning through validation and handoff stages.
• Ensure solutions are technically sound, documented, and compliant with industry standards.
• Support technical discovery and sales engineering processes for prospective and existing partners.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, automation, and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Project Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct technical discovery to develop PCI-standard solutions tailored to partner needs.
• Design solutions, scopes, bills of materials, labor estimates, and risk assessments.
• Lead project lifecycle stages, including planning, implementation, testing, and validation.
• Deploy server, network, Microsoft 365/cloud, virtualization, and security technologies.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners for solution design and issue resolution.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, diagrams, and implementation notes.
• Identify and address scope gaps, technical risks, and obstacles proactively.
• Support technical standards, automation, and organizational improvement initiatives.
• Provide leadership and coaching to junior technicians as needed.

Project Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in MSP, systems engineering, or professional services.
• Proven expertise in server, network, cloud, virtualization, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or Azure preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and implementation skills across diverse technologies.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project ownership, organization, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Leadership capabilities to mentor and support junior team members effectively.
